About the film
Recommended age: 10+
Relive the historic Moon landings in Once Upon the Moon. Through the astronauts’ own stories, authentic footage and photographs from the Apollo missions, and scientific data, the film takes you back to the lunar surface. In the immersive dome format, historical images and films are placed where they were originally captured, turning the Moon landings into something you don’t just watch—you experience.
The film features Apollo astronauts Charlie Duke and Harrison Schmitt, two of the twelve people who have walked on the Moon. It also connects the Apollo era with today's and tomorrow's lunar exploration through interviews with a new generation of scientists and astronauts, including Christina Koch, who flew on the Artemis II mission around the Moon, and Swedish astronaut Marcus Wandt.
Once Upon the Moon is the story of humanity’s first steps on the Moon—and of the people, images and discoveries that changed our view of the world forever.
