In the Chemistry Lab: Fizzing Bath Bombs
Explore the chemistry behind bath bombs and discover what makes them fizz so dramatically in water. You’ll also make your own bath bomb to take home!
In the Technology Lab: Glowing Paper Helicopter
Discover air resistance and basic electronics in this fun technology lab! Build a paper helicopter and learn how to make a simple circuit. Can you make it glow? (Recommended from age 6.)
In the Makerspace: Make Your Own Pin
Design, color, and create your very own unique pin to attach to your sweater, bag, or anything else you want to decorate.
Activities in our labs and Makerspace are led by our on-site guides. Places are limited, and during busy periods a ticket system is used. Tickets are collected outside each room 30 minutes before the activity starts.
Enjoy immersive films and breathtaking adventures in our Dome Theatre Wisdome Umeå! Screenings are included in the admission fee and run at 11 AM, 1 PM and 3 PM. The final screening at 3 PM will be shown in English upon request. Tickets can be collected at the reception when you arrive at Curiosum. Curiosum is for curious minds of all ages. Children who wish to visit Curiosum alone, without an accompanying adult, must be at least 13 years old.
