This weekend, we’re filling the building with exciting activities focused on coding. Bring family and friends to program LEGO robots, try musical coding and explore life’s own code – DNA. Discover our interactive exhibitions, build, create and experience immersive adventures in the Wisdome Umeå dome theatre. Welcome to a day full of experiences!
In the Chemistry Lab: DNA from strawberries
DNA contains the instructions that make you you! But have you ever held DNA in your hand? Explore how to extract DNA from a strawberry.
In the Technology Lab: Programme and deliver
Try your hand at clever robot programming with LEGO robots! Take on brand new challenges and deliver packages to the right place – can you complete the mission?
In the Makerspace: Musical coding
Code with colors! Create your own unique melody by beading a bracelet where each color plays a note.
Activities in our labs and Makerspace are led by our on-site guides. Places are limited, and during busy periods a ticket system is used. Tickets are collected outside each room 30 minutes before the activity starts. Programme subject to change.
Enjoy immersive films and breathtaking adventures in our Dome Theatre Wisdome Umeå! Screenings are included in the admission fee and run at 11 AM, 1 PM and 3 PM. The final screening at 3 PM will be shown in English upon request. Tickets can be collected at the reception when you arrive at Curiosum. Snacks or coffee are always available for purchase in our café area - Nyfiket. You’re also welcome to bring your own packed lunch to enjoy during your visit.

Curiosum is for curious minds of all ages. Children who wish to visit Curiosum alone, without an accompanying adult, must be at least 13 years old.
