This weekend, we’re filling the house with engaging activities inspired by spring and plant life. In the Chemistry Lab: Leaf Chromatography
Did you know that the green color of a spinach leaf hides several other pigments? Try a fun experiment and separate the leaf’s colors using filter paper. How many colors can you reveal?
In the Technology Lab: Become a Filmmaker
Challenge your imagination and learn how to create your own film using stop-motion animation. Get tips and tricks, capture your story step by step, and watch it come to life! What will your film be about?
In the Makerspace: Create a Bee Hotel
Make your own bee hotel using bamboo sticks and take it home with you. Put it up outdoors and become a true bee hero! You’ll also receive some bee-friendly flower seeds to plant.
Activities in our labs and Makerspace are led by our on-site guides. Places are limited, and during busy periods a ticket system is used. Tickets are collected outside each room 30 minutes before the activity starts. Programme subject to change.
Enjoy immersive films and breathtaking adventures in our Dome Theatre Wisdome Umeå! Screenings are included in the admission fee and run at 11 AM, 1 PM and 3 PM. The final screening at 3 PM will be shown in English upon request. Tickets can be collected at the reception when you arrive at Curiosum. Curiosum is for curious minds of all ages. Children who wish to visit Curiosum alone, without an accompanying adult, must be at least 13 years old.
