Program

Train for Space!

Discover how astronauts train before and during their space missions. Take on our fun astronaut challenge and try training like a real astronaut!

In the Chemistry Lab: Can Saturn Float?

Could the planets in our solar system float on water—if there were an ocean large enough? And is there a difference between rocky planets and gas giants? Use various objects to compare the buoyancy of different planets in this chemistry lab about density. Can you make Potato-Saturn float?

In the Technology Lab: Space Escape

Now with new missions suitable for the whole family!
In this thrilling escape game, you are the crew of Apollo 13. The plan is to land on the Moon—but suddenly something goes wrong. Working together, you must solve problems to make it safely back to Earth before time runs out!
This activity is not available during evening opening hours on 24–26 February and 5 March.

In the Makerspace: Paint Your Own Northern Lights

What would your dream aurora look like? Let your imagination run free and paint your own version of the sky’s most magical light show!
This activity is not available during evening opening hours on 5 March.

Activities in our labs and Makerspace are led by our on-site guides. Places are limited, and during busy periods a ticket system is used. Tickets can be collected outside each room 30 minutes before the activity starts. Programme changes may occur.
